DNA testing is okay for finding where your ancestors came from, which area of the world, but it is no substitute for knowing the names of an ancestor or what they did for a living and how many children they had. It is that that most amateur genealogists, myself included, are really interested in. It led me to realise what my recent ancestors did in both world wars, and I now know I have many distant relatives in the USA. DNA will not tell you where your ancestors went to.

Seltsam, dass Kind wird von Niemandem wirklich beachtet. Das Kind nimmt ständig Kontakt, ist aber immer seitlich, oder hinter den Erwachsenen und niemand beachtet es. Traurig.

Irish scottish welsh is just celtic

In the latest update my mother got 100% Armenian (which she is) but I got 69% South Italian and NO Armenian (rest is from my dad's side, who has no Italian or Armenian in hs background). My Heritage recognizes her as my mother. This is a pretty big discrepancy. No one from Italy in my family tree either. How can this be? On Ancestry we have the same exact ethnicities.

I took a DNA test to see what heritage I was and discovered some of my first cousins were only half cousins... apparently grandma liked to party? And my uncles were half uncles... my grandpa passed away b4 these online DNA tests were popular.. thank God
